Visiting Jordan – What to do in one week?

How to make the most of Jordan within one week. Last May,  I visited Jordan, where I spent around 8 my days in Amman, Aqaba, Irbid, Wadi Rum, and Petra.

WHAT I DID:

6th May – Check out Aqaba, there is not much to see, but explore the city, visit the public beach, check out the tourist shops. Buffalo Wings & Rings was the tastiest restaurant EVER.

7th May – We took a private car and visited Petra and Wadi Rum. This was tiring, but worth it especially if you lack time. To enter Petra, it cost 50JD, and we used a camel and a horse inside, another 9JD. This place was beautiful but very expensive, however, it is one of the wonders of the world. After, a few hours we went to Wadi Rum, (THE MOST AMAZING EXPERIENCE) a definite must.

8th May – Relax. I went to Movenpick Resort, to use the private beach, jet skis and boats. You can also see Israel from the beaches…

9th May – Went back to Amman, early in the morning. Checked in to Easy Inn Hotel (really nice and located conveniently near the main restaurants) We went to Citadel Hill of Amman. Be sure to check the timings as it was closed around 6pm but due to my persuading, we were allowed to enter for free. Later in the evening, we went to ReemAl Badawi. They make the tastiest hummus and fresh bread.

10th May – Roman Theater Jordan, Hashemite Plaza, downtown Amman and King Alhussain Park and the famous mosque.

11th May – Irbid. You can see Palestine, Syria, and Lebanon. It’s one of those places you only see ONCE. In the evening, we went to TAJ Mall and had a Turkish Bath.

12th May – Dead Sea. Luckily, I purchased some mud from Downtown which I can’t wait to use… and best of all, I met my mum in the airport as I was travelling to Oman and she was going back to London. The highlight of my trip 😀

Anyways, hope this helped!

I saw this in Irbid, thought it was pretty deep. ‘Whoever is passing through here…the way you I are, Now I was.. the way I am now, you shall be… Enjoy Life Because You Are Gone.

Good review for people wanting a general oversight to the different places you stayed at. Jordan is one of my favourite countries so I always like reading about it. Looking forward to reading more!
